Happy Thursday! It's time for another episode of Pages and Pours!

In today's episode, we're discussing the wonderfully atmospheric novel, The Silent Companions by Laura Purcell. This is a chilling story full of gothic vibes, with a creepy mystery and insidious objects that lurk in the shadows. It was a 3/5 star read for me and, even though I didn't find it as scary or horrific as I was hoping, I still liked the overall atmosphere and idea. Laura Purcell certainly spins a unique perspective on horror!
We are also featuring a delicious coffee selection from one of our favorite coffeeshops, Hoboken in Guthrie, OK! If you haven't yet had the pleasure of trying Hoboken, we definitely recommend you get down to Guthrie sometime to experience their amazing coffee. Their coffeeshop is seriously one of the best locations we've found here in Oklahoma, and there is something so satisfying about losing yourself for a while in the quaint, untouched beauty of downtown Guthrie.
Thank you for joining us on today's episode! You can find it here as well as on Spotify, and it's also available on Apple Podcasts and most other streaming apps.
Until next Thursday, happy reading and cheers!
Hogan
